About Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Nigerian Dwarf goats were initially bred as pets and show animals due to their small size and gentle and calm natures. They are around 22 inches to the top of the withers and around 75 lbs. Since 2005, there has been intense breeding for dairy production. For smaller households, the milk output of 1-2 quarts per day for up to 10months has become desirable. The milk is high in butterfat and protein and makes great butter and cheese. They are small enough to butcher on farm for meat. ND can breed throughout the year and thus can kid up to 3 times in 2 years with 6 month rest between. It is best to wait to breed until a doeling is a year old and fully mature. They are wonderful mothers and kid easily. Very hardy in constitution, they can live 15-20 years.

Buck - Acherone

All of my does are out of Hannah Carpenters HLC Dairy Goats in I call Anna my goat dog. She follows me everywhere, heels beautifullly, knows her name, comes when called and follows simple commands. She's just a lovely goat to have around. One of her best friends is my kunekune pig Kristy. They play, snuggle, head butt and chase one another around.
