Unlike most chick breeders, I do not cull chicks. Most chicks are pre-ordered prior to incubation. Any chicks un-sold for any reason are kept for breeding, raised to be sold as older chickens or raised to maturity for processing. Our un-related breeders have been carefully curated from quality hatcheries throughout the upper United State for winter hardiness. They are  maintained under the strictest biosecurity measures in the most comfortable housing possible. When not segregated in the breeding house, or under threat of avian flu, they are on pasture in an integrated flock for eating egg production.
